Donate and Share the Love

Please donate now and help us build support for our many families in Utah who are affected by autism.  Your gift will help support awareness, education and programs, research, and other autism related services in the State of Utah.

A specialty license plate for autism was passed through legislation this last session in 2010.  The plate will promote awareness throughout the State, as well as fund programs and services for autism.  It is our goal that the license plates will create enough funding for the ACU to be self-sufficient. Autism programs that will benefit from your generous donation include parent, physician, and provider training and education, scholarships, research initiatives, classroom support for autism programs, recognitions for best practices, grants, maintaining the web site for information on resources, and services throughout the State of Utah.

We are fundraising for the start up fee for the license plates.

The ACU is comprised of voluntary members,  has virtually no overhead, and is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization.  Your donation is tax-deductible.  Once your donation has been processed, you will receive appropriate documentation.  Please make your donation by completing the field below.  Online donations are processed securely using PayPal.  We also accept donated services, in-kind donations and donations using cash, check or credit card.  Please contact us for more information on these options.

The ACU is an independent Council working to foster collaboration, communication, and learning among families and agencies.  Our aim is to promote access to resources and responsible information for individuals of all ages who have, or are affected by autism, or related conditions.   The Council will accomplish this by supporting statewide partnerships to collaborate on special projects, research and  training.

Children are like butterflies in the wind, some can fly higher than others, but they all do the best they can.  Each one is different, each one is special, each one is beautiful.  Thank you for supporting our efforts to help each child reach their full potential.

Facebook Cause

Join our cause today!
The Facebook Platform presents an unprecedented opportunity to engage our generation, most of whom are on Facebook, in seizing the future and making a difference in the world around us. Our generation cares deeply, but the current system has alienated us. Causes provides the tools so that any Facebook user can leverage their network of real friends to effect positive change.  The goal of all this is what we call “equal opportunity activism.” We’re trying to level the playing field by empowering individuals to change the world. Existing nonprofits must raise hundreds of millions of dollars and leverage massive direct marketing campaigns to attract members. We’re democratizing activism by empowering activists with an arsenal of tools for users of Facebook who want to leverage their network on Facebook to effect positive change.  This is a natural evolution of social networking. Leveraging real world social networks is an important part of activism, fundraising, and political campaigning. This is especially true of grassroots activism, local-chapter style nonprofit organizations, and the walks/runs used by many charities to raise money. Given all this, it’s a bit surprising that online social networks haven’t been more aggressively leveraged until now.
