Autism Treatment Account Information

The Autism Treatment Account Advisory Committee, authorized by Utah law, developed a rule to govern administration of the Autism Treatment Account monies. This rule includes qualification criteria and procedures for selecting children who may qualify for assistance from the account; qualifications, criteria, and procedures for evaluating the services and providers to include in the program; and provisions to address and avoid conflicts of interest that may arise in relation to the committee’s work. The Autism Treatment Account Advisory Committee was appointed by the Governor and consists of parents, providers and specialists who work with persons with autism.

Because this rule clarifies how funds will be distributed, the advisory committee invites public review and comment on the proposed rule. Notice of the rule appears in the Utah State Bulletin in Vol. 2012, No 12 (6/15/2012) edition. Written public comments are accepted from June 15, 2012 until 5:00 PM on July 16, 2012.
