Dear ACU friends – we’re trying something a bit different this year. In stead of the gala (which involves heels and spanx) we are holding the Un-Gala event of the season!
Mike Guido is a comedian from California and has offered to come to Utah for our annual fund raiser. This should be a lively night with a dessert bar and mingling after the performance.
In the entertainment world, Mike has made his mark as a nationally recognized headlining comedian with eight national TV appearances to his credit, including SHOWTIME, A&E, MTV, and VH1. He has also had the honor of working with some of today’s biggest stars including Jay Leno, Robin Williams, and Ellen Degenneres … AND he even has a new comedy CD, “Who Needs Sanity!!” that can be heard on iTunes, Sirius XM Radio, and Pandora.
He is also dad to nine children; yeah, you read that right … nine… including four by adoption and daughter, Maria, who has severe autism.
Mike’s other performance passion these days is his critically acclaimed one-man show, “A Real Man – Dad. Daughter. Autism.” This show, which has been called everything from “moving and inspiring” to “laugh-out-loud funny” tells the story of his incredible experience with Maria and how her innocence, sweetness, and vulnerability have helped to mold him into being a much better man.
So – Save the Date – July 8 and please feel free to share with your networks and friends.
