Utah Behavior Support Clinic (UBSC) ~ FREE Training Opportunity

FREE training opportunity available through the Utah Behavior Support Clinic (UBSC) under the direction of Dr. Tyra Sellers. Dr. Sellers has over 25 year of experience in the field of applied behavior analysis in home settings, schools, and clinical environments. She is currently an assistant professor at Utah State University and the Clinical Director of the UBSC.

The training provides an understanding of evidence-based practices in the assessment and treatment of problem behavior in a variety of settings. This training has been developed for teachers, paraprofessionals, day-treatment staff, residential staff, and families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our course series consists of 25 self-paced online modules (a total of 28 hours of instruction), followed by a two-day (12 hours) application and practice workshop. The online courses provide participants with an in-depth understanding of environmental variables that perpetuate problem behavior and evidence-based approaches to the assessment and treatment of problem behavior. Application and practice workshops focus on experienced clinical practitioners modeling the relevant skills and procedures, and on learners practicing those skills and procedures. The application and practice workshops give learners the opportunity to ask questions and for the instructors to discuss application of the skills and procedures across a wide range of settings and ages. Applied workshop dates and times are listed below.

Applied Workshop dates and Locations 2018:

January, 18 & 19 – Cache County

February, 8 & 9 – Washington County
